Currently Whole Exome Sequencing (WES) is the most common way to diagnose a defect in the MN1 gene.  WES is being covered financially in part by many insurance companies.  There are also some self-pay options with many labs that offer a discounted rate for patient and family WES.  Contact your geneticist or contact us for more information about specific labs that offer self pay options.
